I was preparing documents for an African Safari honeymoon when I came across a new movie about an elephant sanctuary in Africa. My heart was full since my favorite actor was the star and the dedication of the people caring for these orphaned elephants was amazing. #1 on my bucket list - get to Kenya to see these majestic creatures.
          While on a flight to Boston, I met a wonderful woman who works for a non-profit in Kenya. She was returning with an incredible gift for her children - she had adopted an elephant from the same sanctuary that was in the movie.              #2 on my bucket list - get more information on how I, too, could adopt an elephant.
           Before the weekend was over, my #2 was completed. With the same birthday as my daughter and in honor of my father's 88th birthday, Maktao - known here as #TheBigMakTao - became a cherished member of my family.
           #3 is the same as #1 with an addition - Get to Kenya and now, meet Maktao!
